Reduce your cloud spend by an average of 35% by properly optimising your cloud resources?
Optimise Your Cloud Spend with Right-Sizing and Right-Buying
- Identify the sizes of instances needed for each application workload.
- Optimise workloads being moved from an on-premise data center to the cloud
- Understand the capacity of the on-premise estate if Hybrid-IT.
- Bring work back from the cloud if on premise capacity allows it.
- Rightsize Applications or Services in the Cloud
- Identify where the instance needs to run and optimise for cost/performance.
- Apply optimal ways to purchase cloud instances.
- Automate when and for how long an instance should run
- Continually analyse the billing engines of the cloud providers to identify optimal usage and policies.
- Highly granular data capture of resources.
- Identify the sizes of instances needed for each application workload.
- Determine optimum configuration of burstable or non-burstable instance.
- Identify idle times and workload periodicity.
- Understand the capacity of Hybrid-IT.
- Bring work back from the cloud if on premise capacity allows it.
- Identify where the instance needs to run (location) and optimise for cost/performance.
- Identify the best way to buy the instance depending on how long it will be running.
- Identify how long an instance should run, and if it is idle, how long before it should shut down.
- Continually analyse the cloud provider billing engines to identify optimal usage and policies.
- Right-Size at the application level by correlating business demand with cloud service utilisation.
- Plan for growth and predict upcoming costs with advanced predictive analytics and Forward Thinking what-if scenario modelling.
- Improve business process with Service Management integration.
- Manage across Hybrid-IT, on premise and multi-cloud in a single tool with consistent reporting regardless of environment.

Capacity Planner - Cloud Related Features
Available Now
- Capacity Planner now automatically suggests cloud instance configurations in AWS scoped to a baseline view, taking optimal capacity configuration into consideration in order to reduce costs effectively.
- Capacity Planner now recommends the optimum savings plan per AWS account based on historical usage, assuming that the usage pattern continues. The optimal plan is provided for both like for like and right-sized environments when recommendations are considered.
- Recommendations for the right-sizing and right-buying of AWS instances are now available. A configurable mechanism was added to optimise AWS instances and to show a visual indication of recommendations with alternatives.
- Dedicated reports are now available on AWS costs. These provide visibility into daily costs, long term trends, forecasts, and running instances.
- Enhanced automatic ticket updates. If an open ticket exists for the same entity and metric, then a new ticket will not be raised. Instead, the existing ticket will be updated with any changes in prediction date.
- Capacity Planner now provides a new visualisation called timeburst that shows workloads or instances with a time dimension, highlighting areas of inactivity or when machines, instances or containers are not running. It allows you to rearrange the visualisation using the groupings mechanism.

- Migration to Azure recommendations – Optimising instance configuration for migration to Azure.
- Optimising burstable/non-burstable instances – Determining those instances that would be more cost effectively burstable compared to non-burstable, or the other way around.
- Automatically identifying instances that could be ‘short lived’ – Quantifying idle time of machines and identifying those machines that could be more actively managed to operate when required, rather than long periods of inactivity.
- Optimize Azure instance configuration – Optimising in-Azure instance size configurations.
- Consolidated cloud instance configuration recommendations visualisation – Comparing visually the difference between AWS and Azure for migration costs.
- Migration to Google Cloud recommendations – Recommendations for moving to Google Cloud and comparisons between AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud costs.
